Theodore "Ted" Sallis is a human who underwent a transformation, becoming a creature dubbed Man-Thing. He was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. and confined at the Fridge, although he escaped when the facility was liberated. Man-Thing then left Earth and found himself on Sakaar, where he participated in Grandmaster's Contest of Champions and became a Champion himself. He eventually returned to Earth.
